Founded with a mission to develop civic-minded leaders, the program engages fellows through immersive programming and dynamic dialogue across ideologies and sectors.

The Opportunity
Leadership Ohio seeks a strategic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter. The Executive Director is the sole full-time executive responsible for leading all facets of Leadership Ohio, including strategic direction, fundraising, public representation, program delivery, and board partnership. This individual must operate with both entrepreneurial agility and operational discipline, elevating the visibility and sustainability of the organization while engaging leaders across Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic direction of organization including execution of plan

  • Lead fundraising strategy and execution (100% accountability)

  • Oversee statewide fellowship program and alumni engagement

  • Serve as primary spokesperson and manage visibility

  • Manage operations, budget, staff and volunteers

  • Foster strong collaboration with board, volunteers, and civic leaders

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven success in fundraising and financial strategy

  • Experience leading a small or entrepreneurial organization

  • Strong public presence and nonpartisan communication style

  • Demonstrated ability to manage operations and staff

  • History of resilience under pressure

Reporting & Key Stakeholders
Reports to the Board of Directors. Works closely with alumni, volunteers, program partners, donors, and statewide civic leaders.

  • Statewide visibility and nonpartisan public presence

Compensation & Timeline
Salary range $110k - $130k , complete benefits package to be confirmed. Effective start date January 5th 2026
