  • Government and public service

  • Private equity and finance

  • Community and civic leadership

Audience learning levels are diverse and range from experienced operational leaders to highly strategic and theoretical thinkers.

Typical session attendance ranges from approximately 35–45 participants.

  • We are particularly interested in presentations and facilitated experiences focused on:

    • Relational leadership

    • Conflict management

    • Constructive dialogue

    • Coalition building

    • Cross-sector collaboration

    • Civic leadership

    • Active listening in difficult situations

    • Trust-building and communication

    • Leadership in times of uncertainty and change

We prioritize presenters who create meaningful engagement rather than purely lecture-based experiences.

  • Excellent proposals will:

    • Demonstrate awareness of adult learning principles

    • Encourage active participation and reflection

    • Show thoughtfulness toward diversity, inclusion, and contemporary ethical considerations

    • Offer practical insights alongside strategic thinking

    • Create environments for constructive dialogue and collaborative learning

    • Engage diverse audiences with professionalism, humility, and authenticity

    • All proposals must be submitted online, including keynote and general session proposals. No exceptions.

    • All submissions must be complete in order to be considered.

    • Individuals may submit a maximum of two proposals per calendar year.

    • Presentations may not serve as sales pitches or promotional sessions.

    • Leadership Ohio presentations are generally pro bono unless otherwise negotiated.

While presenters are typically not compensated financially, participation offers meaningful opportunities to:

    • Engage directly with influential statewide leaders

    • Expand visibility among senior decision-makers

    • Build relationships across sectors and industries

    • Contribute to leadership development and civic progress across Ohio

Many Leadership Ohio participants also hire speakers and facilitators for their own organizations and events.

  • Leadership Ohio makes every effort to operate sustainably and minimize printed materials whenever possible.

Presentation handouts and supporting materials will be distributed digitally rather than printed onsite. Presenters are encouraged to provide materials in advance, as attendees consistently report that access to presentation resources enhances the learning experience.

  • If you are interested in being considered for future Leadership Ohio programming, please submit your:

    • Professional biography

    • Areas of expertise

    • Presentation topic(s), abstract, and learning outcomes

    • Examples of speaking (website/reel)
