Leadership Ohio Announces Ambassadors for 2022

COLUMBUS, Ohio - (Jan. 12, 2022) - Leadership Ohio announced today that two Fellows from the Class of 2021 have been selected to serve as 2022 Leadership Ohio Ambassadors. 

Marisa Long and Jamie Martin will support Leadership Ohio in elevating and growing the program as well as engaging with the incoming 2022 class and providing valuable guidance and advice to the new participants.

“Marisa and Jamie have distinguished themselves as leaders,” said Nan Baker, president of the Board of Leadership Ohio. “Their unique and exceptional talents will support our organization’s growth during a very special time - our 30th anniversary year.”

Marisa Long currently serves as executive vice president at Inspire PR Group based in Columbus. She is a recognized marketing and communications strategist with nearly 20 years experience and has expertise and passion in sustainability and social impact communications. Before coming to Columbus, Marisa was vice president of PR and communications at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in Washington, D.C. She graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and currently serves on the Ohio University E.W. Scripps School of Journalism Advisory Board. She’s also a member of the USGBC Ohio Market Leadership Advisory Board.

Jamie Martin is a senior customer success manager with Acoustic, an open, independent marketing cloud and analytics provider. With a mass communications undergrad and an MBA in marketing, Jamie has previously held leadership roles in small businesses, as well as led product marketing for a large automotive SaaS company. 

Ambassadors believe in the mission, goals, and values of Leadership Ohio, and have the ability to share that with others. “We’ve seen tremendous growth and interest in Leadership Ohio in recent years, and we are fortunate to bring together an incredible collection of leaders from all over the state,” said Dr. Lisa Duty, Executive Director of Leadership Ohio. “Our ambassadors play a critical role in growing our program and supporting our participants, and Marisa and Jamie’s high-level of engagement and camaraderieship during their own participation in the program will no doubt be appreciated and reflected in these new roles.”

Jamie and Marisa will work with the Director and the Board across Leadership Ohio’s anniversary year.
